It’s been a busy summer for Mikey and his friends!
New experiences with lots of giggles and squeals. SO much chatter, new words learnt and it’s not over yet !
We are making a special summer holiday book with the children’s favourite memories.
These books are often the ones children want to share again and again and are a great way to help them revisit experiences, use their new words and tell their own stories.
It’s great to have them ready to take into nursery/school when they start back in September.
We packed our bag and it we put ……
We have played this game lots !
Off to the beach we went where we made sandcastles, paddled, threw stones, sand art was fun, we found star fish and for the first time with encouragement we braved the waves and went body boarding !!
A whole morning was spent crab fishing we caught and counted
56 CRABS !
Camping in Granny’s garden was very exciting!
Simple games of “Hide and Seek” kept us busy for a long time!
It also helped us count up to 50!!
Face painting and a trip to the circus was a first for Mikey!
We fed the ducks and had picnics in a field of wildflowers.
Water play at home and at a water park kept us happy for hours!
The highlight and biggest challenge for one of our friends was definitely a climbing wall!
Maybe next year Mikey will take this friend of ours with him to his favourite place in the mountains!
So many adventures, we have slept well all summer long !
